BOOTCAMP IN NORTHERN UTAH!!


Hi everyone! For those who wanted to know when I would start teaching in northern Utah…. the time is now! 
I'm doing a fall fitness bootcamp in Lehi, Utah at Eagle Summit Park

Probable times for Bootcamp are: MWF 8 or 9pm T/Th 6am (I'll know for sure once bootcamp participants vote on days/times)

Start Date: Sept 4
Last day of bootcamp: Sept 26

17 sessions to choose from 9/4-9/26 (M-F) that will best fit your schedule. You can purchase a punch pass for 5, 10 or 15 sessions. 

Register by August 31st for the best prices. 
Men and women welcome to participate. No kids please. This bootcamp is small group fitness, concentrated and personalized. I am also available for personal training at my home gym in Lehi for $20 per session.

Bootcamp
Objective
Bootcamp is intense personal training in a small group setting. Each session lasts 45min-1 hour. Bootcamp will have 5-10 people. First come, first served. Register early to get discounted price. Bootcamp will take place outdoors in a variety of locations, weather permitting, or in Andrea’s home. Anyone is welcome!! Times are subject to participants availability. I will make the sessions at the best time for those participating. 
You will get a little bit of everything: Core, stability, flexibility, cardio, conditioning, strength training and resistance.
Also included is a personalized bootcamp guide detailing: nutrition fundamentals, healthy diet in combination with exercise, workout plan, and a fitness journal
Why you should do it
Intense workouts tailored to you and your needs. This is a great opportunity to jump start getting into shape. You can let me know what you want to get out of your workouts... and I will be there to push you farther than you think you can go! If you're not sure what your wants or needs are- No worries! Im ready to get you working and will make sure we target every aspect of fitness as well as target every area of the body! By doing the Bootcamp you can also get an idea of what workouts are best for you. By incorporating fitness, health and wellness into your life you can get in shape, stay in shape and feel great!
Prices
Bootcamp Punch passes are available at 5, 10 and 15 sessions. Prices listed are early registration prices. Add $15 if registering after August 1st.

10 sessions....... $100
15 sessions....... $120
Personal Training, one-on-one at your convenience! I'll supply the equipment! Just $20 per session.

2 Week Notice:

I am SO SAD to say that I am moving to northern Utah. Well, I'm excited for the move but SAD to leave my awesome job and all the students I LOVE
My last day teaching for SUU is 
Thursday February 16th.
Please keep coming until my last day! :)
(if you're wondering, a new instructor will be replacing me)

Class Descriptions:


...What to expect...

You'll never come to the same class twice since each class is unique. Nothing is choreographed and although we do similar stretches, warm ups and cool downs, the actual work out varies from class to class. Your body will never get used to doing the same routine by coming to my classes on a regular basis. I promise it'll always be as tough as the first time you came! :)


Fat Burning Cardio: This is a 20min class that is designed specifically to burn fat stores. Its most effective if done in the morning on an empty stomach. (Be sure to drink a big glass of water before you workout though!) This class is self-paced and timed. Its done in 60 second intervals which increase in intensity each minute. Just 4 block intervals and the workout is over! Research suggests* (actual research on MILLIONS of people, I'm not just saying that!) that this workout -20 min done 3x per week, paired with heavy lifting and the right DIET, is ALL you need to loose weight and get in the best shape possible.

Abs Lab: My abs class is only 30 minutes. It goes by really quick... and you get a great workout. Its all abs! Plus, I usually add in some back... since you need a strong back to have strong abs! Some classes will have short bursts of cardio to rev up your metabolism. Moderate to high intensity.
Body Pump: One of my favorites!! I love this class. Its a whole body workout and very intense. You get a little bit of everything... lots of variety... and way fun! Intervals of high intensity cardio with resistance weight training. You'll be out of breath and your body will feel weak from head to toe. An awesome work out!
Condensed Cardio: Get ready to sweat! This class is concentrated and INTENSE. Burn more calories in 30 min than you would in most 60 minute classes. Warm-up, 15 min workout, cool down. The workout is made up of 3 simple elements which will wok the entire body. I will give you the number of reps to do and then the timer starts. You're working against the clock and competing with yourself. High intensity
Kick Box: This is a pretty intense class... but its also fun! In 45 minutes we combine traditional moves, jab, cross, upper-cut, hook, blocks, knees and kicks. Moderate to high intensity. Great cardio workout... with some resistance for definition and toning.
Plyometrics: Athletic jump drills and training. This is the ultimate way to get toned and take your fitness to the next level. 4 different sets of 30 second high intense cardio drills followed by a 30 second rest period. This class is just 45 minutes. Its tough... but you can do it!
Rock bottom: This is the alternative to my 30 min Abs Lab. Rock bottom is all butt. Its just 30 min. A quick way to lift and tone your booty! Moderate intensity.

2012!!!

New year, new body. Get started on your way to the best shape you've ever been in!
Classes (probably) start the week of January 16th.

Side note: Have you tried the 100 rep workout yet? You NEED TO! Time yourself and let me know how you do. I have to say that I am so proud of myself for doing the 1000 rep workout in 26 min 15 sec!!! (Yay for me!) Try and beat that time!!!!! Seriously!

As this new year starts and everyone is making goals... (a lot of which have to do with health, and wellness) Remember that:
*you can get in the best shape of your life. The choice is YOURS.
*The path to optimal health isn't short OR easy. Dont ever think otherwise.
*Diet is HUGELY important (If you want tips or suggestions, let me know. I'm happy to share what I know)
*My classes are FREE so theres no excuse for not coming as much as possible!

1000 Rep Workout!

If you missed class last night... I think you missed one of the hardest workouts I've done. I'm including it here on the blog so you can do it at home during Christmas break! No equipment required! Get a friend or family member to join you for the workout!!! 
TIME YOURSELF and comment about how long it took you! Should be interesting to see how fast everyone can go!
I didn't time us in class last night (dang it!) I think it was close to 40 min.


Do 10 reps per workout. Finish the list of all 10 exercises then repeat the list TEN TIMES!! By the end (no breaks, no stopping) you'll have done 1000 reps!


Here's the workout: 
10 Burpees (plank, get into a ball, stand up, jump, drop back down to a plank)
10 Squat Jumps
10 Push Ups
10 Toe Touch Sit Ups
10 Tricept Dips 
10 Tuck Jumps (knees to your chest)
10 Plank Jax
10 Split Lunges (standing mt climbers)
10 Leg Drops (on your back, straight legs up to the ceiling, drop to floor then back up)
10 Squat Thrusts (bottom half of a burpee)
